Elusive Parallelograms have been called psychedelic rockers heading back into the future. Formed in Milwaukee when college friends and musicians Cory Husher, Stefan Dostanic, and Jonathan Hense met Andrew Foys – and were later joined by Cory’s childhood friend Clayton Hamburg, a skilled bassist classically trained in strings. Each member’s influences and playing styles are unique and distinct, culminating in a blend of psychedelic, fuzzed-out guitars, and engaging rhythms.
Elusive Parallelograms’ eclectic arrangements and diverse sounds step away from conventional songwriting and provide a different musical perspective. Elusive Parallelograms' work has been widely accepted and praised by a vast breadth of critics both in the U.S. and abroad, ranging from independent publications such as The Big Takeover and Under the Radar to the mainstream SPIN Magazine. We at the label feel that the music is a 21st century take on R.E.M. meets Sonic Youth with nuances of Robert Fripp, as well as shoegazers Ride and My Bloody Valentine. Very sophisticated stuff!
